Take Your Utah Car Rental to Canyonlands National Park

Utah is home to incomparable landscapes that you have to see firsthand to believe. One of the most gorgeous areas of the state (and the country) can be found at Canyonlands National Park, right here in the Beehive State. If you want to be engulfed in natural beauty that can’t be found anywhere else on Earth, take your Utah car rental to Canyonlands National Park.

Location

You can reach the most accessible district of Canyonlands National Park in your Utah car rental from Allsave Car Rental Utah by taking Highway 313 to the Island in the Sky entrance.

Districts

Because of the park’s sheer magnitude, it’s been divided into four distinct districts. Below, we’ll discuss three of them, because the fourth one is mainly comprised of rivers, and you can’t drive your Vernal rental car from Allsave on water – even if it is perfect.

Island in the Sky: This Canyonlands district is the easiest for visitors to reach. The Island in the Sky mesa sits over 1,000 feet above the surrounding area, giving park guests a brilliant panoramic view of the region. The drive up to Island in the Sky is filled with breathtaking scenery and has plenty of pull-offs and overlooks.

Needles: Enjoy long, day hikes and jaw dropping surroundings at the Needles district of Canyonlands National Park. Located in the southeastern corner of the park, this is a great site to visit for any outdoor enthusiasts in the family.

Maze: As the least accessible of the Canyonlands’ districts, Maze is a backpacker or off-roader’s wonderland. Because of its remote location, making it to Maze is quite a task and not an endeavor for the frail or inexperienced backpacker.

Hours

When you visit Canyonlands National Park in your Utah car rental, you’ll be glad to hear the park is open 24 hours a day, all year-round. Each of the Canyonlands districts, however, has separate operating hours for their respective visitor centers.

Island in the Sky: Visitor center is open daily from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Maze: Maze’s Hans Flat Ranger Station is open daily from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Needles: Visitor center is open daily from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Admission/Fees

Entrance fees are one-time only and grant you access to each park district for up to 7 days.

Individuals (No vehicle): $5

Vehicles: $10
